What if it were all true?

Eric Olson is about to learn that he has a unique ability.  He is not psychic; he is, well, for lack of a better term, Mythic.  He can sense actual myths and legends.  He can smell out a fake and determine the genuine article based on all 5 senses.  He can see, hear, taste, touch and feel a genuine myth or legend.  No one else has this ability so, proving it is damn near impossible.  Providing tangible evidence to the contrary is now Eric’s mission.  To provide a client with actual proof of a myth or legend is his business.  But some myths and legends don’t want to be discovered.

This is a continuation of the same universe as “The Badge” series.  Eric knows about vampires but must remain a keeper of the secret.  The vampires make it worth his time.  They don’t just kill him off to avoid any accidental “leaks.”  Eric provides them a service as well.  He can detect opposing myths that could expose the vampires and thus spell doom for vampire-kind.  On occasion this conflict of interest does present Eric with an ethical and economic conundrum. 

He discovers his ability by chance in the forests of the Olympic rain forest in Washington State.  He finds that the Gods of Olympus actually reside on Mt. Olympus in the Olympic mountains of Washington.
